These are our personal commitments:
ANDREAS KOUMOURIS
1. To understand the contribution of my current company towards corporate social responsibility in the next 6 months, identify improvement opportunities and let the relevant parties know.
2. My company prides itself for being sustainable through its operations. I will compare and contrast this statement in the next 6 months by learning more about the current operations versus the Sustainable Development goals set by the UN to identify gaps and improvement areas and inform the relevant parties.
3. I will create a support group in the next 1 year in my company to facilitate thinking around Principles of Global Responsibility in Engineering Design and Management Practises.
PETER HILL
1. In my work in reviewing and marking the EWB Design Challenge I will include more emphasis on the UN SDGs
2. In my personal life I will implement energy saving measures to reduce carbon emissions (and save money)
3. I will attempt to promote low carbon developments in aviation and ecological airfield improvement as part of my hobby
NAUSHITA SHARMA
1. I will grow my understanding of globally responsible engineering by learning about UN SDGs, initiatives taken by companies, governments and non-government organisations towards sustainable Engineering.
2. I will facilitate conversations to inspire others to engage in globally responsible engineering. As a woman in engineering, I will promote STEM and its importance in building sustainable, inclusive and diverse communities.
3. I will create an advocacy and support group within Jacobs to facilitate thinking around Principles of Global Responsibility in Engineering Design and Management Practises.
